Flood insurance delays

Congress has done it again.  They failed to re-authorize the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) by the mid night May 31, 2010 deadline before they headed out to  vacation.     Insurers are unlikely to issue flood insurance policies until this program is renewed.    If you are in purchase contract and the close of escrow is this week or next, be prepared for delays.
