June 2017 -- South San Jose Real Estate Snapshot Report

​Great news for South San Jose homeowners, it continues to be a hot real estate market.   The median sales price for homes was $825K.  This is an increase of 15% from the prior year. 
 
Active listings were at 44 or down 60% from June 2016.  Low housing inventory typically means upward pressure on home prices. 
 
In other great news, the Average Days to Sell was 13 days (less than 2 weeks).   Last year it was 17 days.  It is still a hot market and homes are selling fast.     
 
Finally, there were 89 new listing which is about 3 new listings coming to market each day which is slightly lower than last year.   The bottom line is that if you are looking to sell your home, it is still a strong Seller’s market.    Homes are selling at higher prices, on the market for shorter periods of time and Buyers are being more aggressive with their terms and offers.
